Attendee Viewer Guide for OPL Mobile Apps | Manage Event Attendees

Attendee Viewer on Admin Site

Idea
This article provides step-by-step instructions for viewing the attendees on your app. This is ONLY applicable if your app has Online Profile Login (OPL) configured.

If your contracted mobile application has Online Profile Login (OPL) configured, the Attendee Viewer is where you can view the list of attendees in which are pulling into the mobile app system for the OPL functionality.

To access the Attendee Viewer page, select ‘Attendee Viewer’ from the left-hand menu on the home page of your event admin site.

The Attendee Viewer page will be a list of your attendees which have been uploaded via Spreadsheet (provided to your mobile app Implementation Specialist) or via API data pulled from your database.

If the passwords for each attendee are not encrypted from their data source, you are able to click on the password field to view the user’s password. This is helpful to check if an attendee is reporting their login not working on the app.

Alert
Items to Note:

  • Your data for this page is populated either via Spreadsheet (provided to your mobile app Implementation Specialist) or via API data pulled from your database.
  • If an attendee is reporting they cannot log into the OPL on the app, check to confirm they are in this Attendee Viewer list:
    • If the attendee is not appearing on this list – 1. Check if they are on the spreadsheet you provided OR check that they are an active attendee in your database, being pushed to the API.
  • Depending how many attendees you have, you may need to navigate between multiple pages (or you can search for a specific attendee in the search bar) –

  • If you encounter any duplications, please verify your spreadsheet or API database to ensure that no attendees are listed more than once. If you find duplicates on your end, please correct them accordingly. If you do not see any duplicates but the issue persists, please contact your mobile app Implementation Specialist for further investigation. *Typically, this issue can relate to registration types and the specific registration types that the mobile app permits in the data feed, as well as those we need to exclude.
  • If you have Single Sign On (SSO) with an outside source to log into the mobile app, depending on the source, this list may not populate (as the data still will only live in that outside source) or may only populate with certain information (such as showing usernames but not showing passwords). Please contact your mobile app Implementation Specialist if you have any further questions regarding this.
  • There are times where this page will not populate until an attendee logs into the app or other scenarios along those lines. If you are not seeing data populating on this page & the above items are not at play, please contact your mobile app Implementation Specialist for further investigation/confirmation.
