What templates are available for data imports?

Please contact your mobile Implementation Specialist for the data template files. 

If you need to add more information to the the provided template(s), this information must be added at the end (last column or last row). When information is added before the end of the template, this negatively impacts mapping.

If you are a returning client and would like to review your past show's submissions, please reach out to your Implementation Specialist. Please check your contract to verify what data imports you are contracted for.

Some items to note regarding your event data:

  • General Notes
    • Asterisks denote a required field
    • If adding a column/field, add it to the end of the template after the initial import to avoid mapping issues
    • If discontinuing use of a column/field, do not remove it after the initial import, simply remove the data and leave the field
    • If you’d like to use a field you don’t see, please reach out to your Implementation Specialist for formatting
    • For initial data, please submit 5-6 records with the fields you wish to use so the mobile app team can set up and test the import
    • Imports can take a minimum of one business day to perform
    • Spreadsheets can be submitted to your Implementation Specialist once weekly for import, though it’s recommended to submit only when you have a significant number of changes
    • Most templates contain an ID field. Note that any ID values:
      • Can never change
      • Must be unique (cannot repeat or have duplicates) 
      • Cannot be blank
      • Cannot have more than one value (no comma separated values)

  • Alerts
    • Can only be imported one time
    • After import, client has to manage all alerts via admin site
    • Any contract type can use this
    • Consider using the alerts template if you have more than 20 alerts

  • Attendees
    • Please consult your contract to verify what you are contracted for

  • Abstracts
    • Please consult your contract to verify what you are contracted for

  • Exhibitors
    • Available for all contracts, but total number will vary based on your contract

  • Sessions
    • Available for all contracts
    • Only one role can be assigned per speaker per session
    • Types and tracks can be used to categorize your sessions

  • Speakers
    • Available for all contracts
    • Only one role can be assigned per speaker per session
    • Speaker headshots & exhibitor/sponsor logos must be dedicated URLs, shared drives are not supported
